European heavy weight Mag, Mountain Bike Plus reviews the Ay Up V4 Adventure in this month's issue. We will be posting this online within the next 4 weeks. Gerko, the reviewer made the following comments ... Another amazing thing is our review of the Ay-up light set… We have tested some lights in the past but this one is by far (and I mean BY FAR!) the best I have ever tested. The versatility and the practical use, the endurance of the batteries, the package, I have been testing and trying to find any design flaws or failures but it is just a SUPERB product! AY UP in the UK Wow, what a whirlwind trip. Thanks to everyone who showed Andy around their local trails! From all reports many people sampled the latest and best in LED Lighting and showed Andy how to ride in mud, rain and sleet! While Andy may have headed home, we still have demo lights available in the UK, if you have any local night rides, or any events that you would like Ay Up Lighting to be part of, then all you need do is contact us on enquiries@ayup-lights.com The Ay Up Facebook page is another way to see whats going on!!
UK user - Having just migrated from a Hope 4 (900 lumen) to these (400 lumen per light set) The Ay-ups are just gob smackingly small and light. Both the lights and lithium polymer batteries are so small and lightweight that there is really no problem leaving them permanently strapped to your helmet, you really hardly know they are there. Honest, the size and weight will astonish you. And personally I like the no-fills approach because it makes these things pretty well bombproof and there is less to go wrong. Ay Up's versus Exposure Ay Up's versus Lumicycle Warranty report - read on ... I had need to replace a battery under warranty and the guys at Ay-Up couldn't have been more helpful, the replacement battery arrived less than a week later and I didn't even have to wait until they had received the old one back. Yeah, I know this reads like an advert, but take it from me that after just over 12 months I still absolutely love these things and cannot think of a bad word to say about them. I wouldn't change them for any other lights and for what you get in the pack they're worth every penny. Bike Radar - Dec 2010 - test the V4 Kit before we offered 40% brighter lights. In their latest and greatest light review we came out on top again this year. See the latest review here where we came out on top for 2009 as we also did in 2008
Here's some words from MBR UK. 'It’s all very well looking at lumen counts on paper, beam patterns in theory and battery life on quoted tables, but it is out on the trail that everything is brought together' After the test they found they following 'Ultimately though, the Ay-Ups were favourite with all the testers. In the comprehensive Adventure V4 kit, you get both helmet and bar lights with more than enough power and battery life to satisfy any riding need' Oct 09 NOTE : The recent MBR review shows a V4 kit would cost approx £310 delivered. Pricing has changed for the better with our xmas special so the MBR quoted price is now obsolete. Singletrack Recommended - 2008
